In this role, you'll collaborate with business partners, develop clear analytic plans, build data models, and apply analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning methods to deliver actionable insights that help drive strategy and shape execution. You’ll also mentor team members and drive the development of analytics, data models, and machine learning algorithms. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data science, proficiency in SQL, R or Python, and experience with both structured and unstructured data. Excellent communication, collaboration, business acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match. Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year. Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2024, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion. Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2024, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2024 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Immerse yourself in the needs of the business and partner with business leaders to understand objectives and develop a clear, well-defined analytic plan to achieve those goals. Translate business needs into actionable analytics, including advanced data extraction, manipulation, and predictive modeling such as segmentation, risk, and behavioral analysis. Develop and deliver trusted, actionable outcomes using appropriate analytical techniques, and support the deployment and maintenance of analytic models, providing solution direction and leadership throughout the development lifecycle. Communicate outcomes clearly at varying levels of detail to business partners, helping them to apply insights, draw conclusions, perform what-if analysis, and assess impact. Mentor and train team members, identifying obstacles and opportunities to improve data science capabilities and resources within the organization. WHAT YOU’LL BRING: Graduate degree with three years' experience in analytically driven fields such as mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, economics, data science, computer science, operations research, or actuarial science, or equivalent job experience. Proficient in SQL for data gathering, aggregation, and filtering, and in at least one programming language, such as R or Python. Strong background in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization, with expertise in both structured and unstructured data platforms. Proven ability to build rapport and forge strong partnerships with business stakeholders, especially in remote work environments. Passionate about leveraging data to drive impactful business outcomes and expert at crafting compelling data-driven narratives and storytelling. Adept at uncovering business opportunities and needs. Skilled at finding and extracting information from various sources, rather than waiting for it to be provided. Able to navigate ambiguity and adapt to change by assessing challenges from all angles to transform uncertainty into effective solutions. Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico. PREFERRED: Product and industry knowledge. Familiarity with the major components of the AWS ecosystem and ability to leverage cloud computing for fast large-scale computation. Experience with unstructured data.
