We are looking for you to continue and expand this success story together. The Role Tesla is seeking a talented and motivated Data Analyst to join our Data and Analytics team at Tesla. We are building a state-of-the-art analytics platform for business and operation intelligence. At Tesla, we have enormous amounts of data and we want to give meaning to it and help business users to make data driven decisions. Our platform will allow users to answer "what", "when" and "how" questions, as well as allow them to ask, "what if". This person will conduct full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities, and design. Data analysts will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. They will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements. Responsibilities Interpret data for manufacturing, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports Understand the KPIs required for operations and provide support to operational teams in building reports Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems Filter and “clean” data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct data problems Work with management to prioritize business and information needs Locate and define new process improvement opportunities Requirements Several years of experience as a Process Engineer/ Industrial Engineer is required Masters/Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or related field is required Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
