Job Description Summary: Job Description Summary: The Payments FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) team is a key partner and enabler of the Payments & Finance organizations. The team is responsible for helping the partners meet business objectives and KPI goals by providing outstanding finance support and business insights. We are looking for a strong Business Analyst to support the Transaction Expense analytics team. You’ll join the team that supports Transaction Expense analytics and optimization efforts across all PayPal entities. If you like solving complex problems spanning across multiple BU’s, KPI’s and functions. This role is for you! You will work very closely with the product, payments, and engineering teams as well as senior management to help meet the company’s financial goals

Responsibilities include:
Support and understand initiatives to reduce TE. Identify and set target KPI’s, define test/control, support launch measurements and provide post launch monitoring support.
Be the business partner and thought leader for Payments by providing deep business insights; support them during initiative ideation, scoping, launch and monitoring.
Constantly and rigorously ideate with the focus on reducing Transaction Expense for PayPal
Effectively communicate product / initiative performance to leadership across finance & payments organization.
Solve ambiguous problems while maintaining a strong focus on end-to-end delivery.
Analyze expense trends & their drivers, compare with targets and present the analysis to leadership.
As a subject matter expert, support the broader company by providing insights about transaction expense and facilitate decision making across various functions

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Finance, Economics or related quantitative discipline;
Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in a related field/industry is preferred
Experience with data aggregation using SQL (Teradata, MySQL or PHP), flat file or json payload handling through programmatic code, database experience is preferred
Fluent in Excel or ability to learn quickly on the job; experience with a statistical programming language (e.g., R, Python) preferred
Prior experience in visualization tools such as Tableau and/or Qlikview preferred
