The Library Services team within Google Users and Products (gUP) Digitization Services (D10n), provides a critical link between Digitization Operations, Google Books Product, and Engineering. As a Product Solutions Engineer (PSE) you will balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions, and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will build tools and automate product workflows, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects. You will lead strategic projects, including the increased automation of core data operations functions, prioritization of incoming requests from across Google Books, and the development of new features for management of our library-partner, library and user-experience solutions and metadata programs, working closely with core Software Engineering teams. To learn more about gTech, check out our video. Responsibilities Analyze and resolve technical problems and roadblocks around data and tools access. Identify opportunities to optimize and automate workflows across a wide variety of projects. Work closely with Product Managers and Software Engineers to improve or develop Google Books tools and features, and support data flows. Collaborate with partner, user-facing and engineering teams to write code and implement tools to improve troubleshooting efficiency and the end-user experience. Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate with internal teams and external partners to provide technical and business feedback as well as deliver technical solutions.
