The Calibration and Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining facility equipment. In doing so the employee must comply with safety, predictive and facility maintenance procedures.
Principal Responsibilities
Perform meter calibration with volumetric prover vessel.
Maintain the meter calibration standards and processes to achieve consistent metering accuracy and optimum loss prevention.
Generate electronic meter prover reports and manage associated support documents.
Provide expertise and proficiency with troubleshooting meter/valve related issues.
Examine and assess motor/pump problems relating to mechanical/coupler issues.
Replacement of motors, pumps and couplers as well as providing laser alignment according to manufacturer specified tolerances.
Read and interpret equipment manuals in order to perform required maintenance and installation.
Diagnose loading rack/tank farm equipment problems and replace or repair parts. Followed by testing and making necessary adjustments as needed.
Perform regular PCW transfer from product tanks as well as oversee transmix/additive/PCW transfers to and from third parties.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Comply with company PPE policies, safety regulations and facility processes.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS and Office Products.
General electric/mechanical competency with analytical and problem solving abilities.
Preferred Education and Experience
Prior experience using volumetric meter prover vessel.
Experience with installation/maintenance of 2 “- 4” flow meters and 1” - 14” valves.
