Director - DataOps
The DataOps Leader will be responsible for the implementation of enterprise data pipelines as well as ongoing operations and support for data platforms and solutions. He/she will ensure smooth operations of global platforms, adherence to SLAs, and drive value realization from the technologies deployed to support the company’s data & analytics capabilities.
What You'll Do:
Ensure the health, resilience, and performance of the Coca-Cola Data platforms (on Azure), data solutions (marts, warehouses, lakes) & data pipelines.
Develops and implements self-service analytics strategies to enable the organization through data & analytics over the next 3+ years, rationalizes and consolidates analytics technologies (7,000+ users), and establishes global standards and governance over those platforms
Understand the existing data platform capabilities to see how it can be used to help achieve business and product goals and propose and drive requirements for improving the platform capabilities for better serving business needs.
Ensure data integrity and guarantee compliance with regulatory context
Runs core operations for data applications and support to ensure global solutions are up and running within the SLAs established with the business
Manages onshore and offshore operations and support teams and project teams in the delivery of analytics technologies
Makes decisions on the best approach to ensure technology operations meet SLAs of the business, evaluates inputs from multiple sources in making decisions on best approach to restore services when critical incidents occur
Responsible for negotiating and structuring multi-year contracts with technology providers and outsourced managed services providers
Lead a team of DataOps engineers to oversee the monitoring of data pipelines and infrastructure as well as the governance of the whole data engineering operation.
Work Focus
Manages budgets (project and operating) for his/her area of responsibility
Reports status on operations performance to SLAs and implements roadmaps to continuously improve operations and performance
Oversees and audits licensing and usage to ensure budgets are met and stakeholders have the tools needed
Manages release train and DevOps processes
Follows scrum and SAFe processes and ensure they are implemented appropriately for his/her area
Communication Focus
Maintains relationships in the business, IT, bottlers, and with vendors
Establish credibility with business and IT counterparts as well as bottling partner organizations through technical and architectural experience, thought leadership, and functional knowledge of products and solutions he/she oversees and through consistently delivering results
Able to represent TCCC and bottlers when discussing product roadmaps and negotiating contracts with outside vendors
Qualifications & Requirements-
12+ years of experience 5+ in a leadership role in IT and proven experience in Business Intelligence / Analytics technologies and operations
Leadership experience with experience initiating and driving projects
Deep experience with BI self-service technologies such as Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, and Microstrategy
Experience in SQL or similar languages
Experience with cloud technologies for data & analytics including Azure (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory) and AWS (e.g., Redshift, Athena, Glue, S3)
Experience leading large programs to change, implement, and transform technologies
Client facing experience dealing with business stakeholders at all levels of the organization including under difficult and time - critical situations.
Budget management and contract management experience managing and negotiating multi-million-dollar vendor agreements
IT program and change management
Leveraging vendors/internal service providers and matrix organizations for program execution
Agile methodology
Experience working in the FMCG industry preferred, particularly in understanding digitization
Savvy leadership with strong matrix influencing skills is a must
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree Required
