Roles and Responsibilities: Job Summary/Overview: Samsung Austin Semiconductor Yield Engineering Department is looking for a motivated member for its Yield Analysis team. This team is tasked with large data set analysis for identifying sources of yield suppression or opportunities for yield improvement. Candidate should have strong data analysis skills, experience with Process Integration, project management skills, and enjoy resolving yield analysis mysteries via in depth investigation and multi-factor analysis. Candidate will have the opportunity to work with leading technology nodes in a fast paced high production volume environment. Evaluations from the team's analysis shape the direction taken by the company and contribute to the success or failure of the products. Candidates should have strong investigation skills, experience with root cause analysis, be comfortable with statistics and process control, and an interest in process integration. In addition, experience with large data sets, SQL data bases, and coding experience is preferred. Experience with JMP is strongly preferred, in use for multi-variate response analysis. The position includes requirement to present findings to both mid and high level management, and to work with process teams and integration teams to help drive understanding of yield issues and solutions. Shift: 8am-5pm Skills and Qualifications: Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required BS Degree in Engineering (EE, ChE, MatSci, MicroE,) or Science (Physics) 3+ years experience in yield analysis or process integration. Semiconductor process engineering experience or similar may also be considered. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools Must have experience using data mining techniques and history investigation to determine the cause of low yield from single point fliers and excursions Expert in SPC, DOE, Statistical Analysis Familiar with Project Management techniques Expert in Excel, PowerPoint, and various statistics programs (i.e. JMP, Spotfire) Strong written and verbal presentation and communication skills Programming and/or scripting experience is a plus (Python, R, JMP, VB, Java )
