Ingram Content Group (ICG) is currently recruiting for a Sr. IT Project Manager to join our Project Management team in LaVergne, TN (greater Nashville area).

This individual defines, documents, and communicates assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. This team member tracks the project’s progress, resolves issues and impediments, reports statues, and communicates the progress internally to stake holders and externally to partners. Also, provides technical and analytical guidance to the project team while recommending action and solution to problems.

Essential Duties:
  • Defines project scope and objectives and acts as the single point of contact for all projects.
  • Communicates with a distributed team consisting of Business Partners, Application Development teams, and IT Leadership across multiple ICG business units to understand issues and impediments within the projects assigned to them.
  • Leads the project team to deliver and implement solutions using an Agile Methodology while driving the teams to produce the required artifacts to manage and support the solutions after the implementation has occurred.
  • Manages and establishes policies and procedures for solution implementation.
  • Works closely with Sr. leadership to gather data on services, processes and issues necessary to report on status to external partners and internal stake holders.
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking analysis.
  • Tracks all assigned projects from conception to completion and interprets all reports, diagrams, and spreadsheets from the project team to provide project status to internal and external management.
  • Tracks numerous projects simultaneously on a weekly basis and reports on targets, release dates, impediments that threaten completion, and solutions to how the team will address the issues.
  • Develops and reviews plans to validate that solution specifications are complete and accurate.
  • Reports to upper management and executive teams to answer questions about projects and provides “walk-through” scenarios.
  • Relies on a complete understanding of technology and software to identify and resolve the project issues that the IT Services teams encounter.
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications

We would like our talented associate for this role to have at least these minimum skills - experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or related year for year experience
  • 7 years of experience with project management (or similar technical experience supporting projects and delivering objectives)
  • 4 years of experience working with delivering technical projects

Preferred Qualifications

We’d be excited to hear if you also have the following experience or skills:
  • Full project lifecycle experience
  • Experience in agile/scrum methodologies
  • Experience with software and or infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of development practices
  • Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
  • Background experience in IT hands on technically
